Why You're Not Getting Clients Online (And How to Fix It)
Let me guess; You've probably posted your work online a few times, followed a few gurus and coaches, maybe even created a nice bio or portfolio... but clients are not coming. And it’s frustrating.
I get it because’, I've been there too. wondering why I’m not landing gigs even when I’ve “done all the things"
But, I realized a few things which might be just what you need as a solution to your problem:
- You’re Hiding in the Shadows
You can’t post once every 2 weeks and expect people to remember you. That's a no-no for you if you're still looking to land clients. The online space is loud. If you’re not showing up consistently and I mean weekly at the very least, you’ll get drowned out.
You can Fix it by: Creating a basic posting routine. Even if it’s just once or twice a week, show up. Be present. Be seen.
- You're Talking to Everyone, So No One’s Listening
“Content writer, social media manager, designer, coach, UGC creator...”
When your bio lists everything under the sun, people get confused about what you actually do.
Pick a focus. You can evolve later. But for now, be clear about how you help people and who you help.
- You’re Waiting Instead of Reaching Out
I used to think, “If my content is good, clients will DM me.”
While that may be true, sometimes they won’t. And it's not because you’re not good, but because they’re not seeing you.
You want more clients, pitch more, Search for opportunities. Join groups, check job boards, send personalized DMs, follow up. Closed mouths don’t get fed.
- Your Online Presence Isn’t Selling You
If someone clicks on your profile today, will they understand what you do and trust you enough to pay you?
Update your bio. Share your story. Post helpful content. Let people see your value, not just your skill.
Getting clients isn’t about luck, it’s about being intentional.
If you’ve felt stuck lately, try fixing one of these things at a time.
It might just be the shift that changes everything.
You’ve got this.
